If you have forgotten your Hikvision device password, you can reset it by exporting an XML file through the SADP tool and importing the reset file provided by our support team.





Step 1 – Download and Install SADP                                                                                              

Download and install SADP Tool on your computer.

After installation, launch the tool and ensure that your computer is connected to the same network as the device.



Step 2 – Export the XML File                     

  1. Open the SADP Tool. 
  2. The device will appear in the device list automatically. 
  3. Select the device that requires a password reset. 
  4. Click Forgot Password. 
  5. Choose Export to generate an XML file. 
  6. Save the XML file to your computer.


 

Step 3 – Send the XML File for Reset     

Send the exported XML file to our support team for verification. Our support team will generate a password reset file based on the XML file you provided and send it to the email address you supplied.

Step 4 – Import the Reset File                

After receiving the reset file:

  1. Open the SADP Tool again. 
  2. Select the device in the device list. 
  3. Click Forgot Password. 
  4. Choose Import File. 
  5. Upload the reset file received from support. 
  6. Enter a new password and confirm it.  


Step 5 – Complete the Password Reset

Once the reset file is successfully imported, the device password will be updated to the new password you created.You can now log in to the device using the new credentials.


✅ Important Notes

  • Ensure the computer and device are on the same local network. 
  • The XML file is time-sensitive and may expire after a certain period. 
  • Each XML file is generated for a specific device and cannot be reused.
